Spectacular parks of Uganda

Take in the beauty Spectacular parks of Uganda, that is Murchison Falls, the chimpanzees of Kibale, a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and finally an unforgettable trek to see the gorillas of Bwindi.



DAY 1: Entebbe to Murchison Falls

You will be picked up from your hotel by your Range Land Safari driver/guide who will then drive you across the country. A stopover is made at Masindi for en-route lunch
Your trip continues to Budongo Forest and to the top of Murchison Falls. From there, if you are booked into Northern bank, you will cross the Nile by ferry. On the hour-long evening safari you may encounter animals taking cover to avoid the lions’ favourite spots.
Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge / Pakuba Lodge

DAY 2: Murchison Falls

After an early cup of African coffee you should be ready for a dawn game drive along the Nile and Albert delta. Here you may see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, leopards, waterbuck and a large number of birds. You will then return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch.
After lunch, a three-hour boat trip along the Nile gives you the chance to see Murchison Falls from below. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the river.

DAY 3: Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park

You will make an early start by road to Kibale National Park via the Albertine escarpment. Visit the top of Murchison Falls before you embark on a drive along the Rift Valley. The journey is around 8-9 hours.
Meals and over night stay at Ndali Lodge / Primate Lodge.
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

DAY 4: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your day with an early morning trek to see the chimpanzees. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy. In the afternoon, drive south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, game viewing en route.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ihamba Safari Lodge / Mwey Lodge.
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

DAY 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin your day with a cup of coffee, then enjoy an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile where you may encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Ugandan kobs and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch.
After lunch, a two-hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile for an opportunity to see hippo, buffalo, Ugandan kobs, elephants and warthogs. This trip also enables you the chance to see some spectacular birds.
Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge / Ihamba Safari Lodge.
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

DAY 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi

Enjoy a morning safari at Ishasha in search of the tree-climbing lions. Then on to Bwindi via the beautiful scenery of the tea plantations. This is one of the lushest highland rainforests on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds.
The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park.

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

DAY 7: Bwindi gorilla trek

Starting the day with a hearty breakfast, you should be ready for your trek that begins at 8am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Make sure you bring a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, walking boots etc. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates.The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort.

DAY 8: Bwindi to Entebbe

Return to Entebbe via Kampala, stopping off for lunch and a photo opportunity at the equator.
Overnight and dinner at Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort, Cassia Lodge in the city centre.
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

DAY 9: Kampala city tour

You will be taken on a city tour, starting with a visit to Uganda’s historical museum, Bahai Temple, and then you can explore the markets for your souvenirs. From there you will be driven to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home/next destination.
