INFORMATION
The descriptions, information and opinions given by us in respect of national parks, animal sightings, accommodation, itineraries, gorilla permits and security are given in good faith, based on the latest information available to us. Every care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the information provided. We cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions caused by matters beyond our control.
BOOKINGS
The Company reserves the right not to confirm the booking until the full amount set out in the invoice received by
client is paid and has been received by the Company and all the relevant documentation has been signed and
completed in full by the client.
Any amendments to, or cancellation of the booking shall be subject to these terms and conditions.
CHILD POLICY
Children between the ages of 8 – 14 are welcome to travel with Nomad on a request basis and must be accompanied
by an adult.
TOUR PRICE, DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT
Range Land Safaris utilizes its best endeavors to ensure the correctness of the tour price, such price is subject to
change as a result of factors beyond Range Land Safaris’ reasonable control, in such events, we shall utilize our best
efforts to notify clients of such change as soon as possible.
The tour price includes only those services/items that are included in the itinerary and the tour package, and the client shall be responsible and pay for any additional items sourced as extras. Such payments shall be made directly to a third party service provider or to the Company for settlement with a third party service provider.
Range Land Safaris keeps record of the tariffs of activities that form the tour package and the Company has no
control over any increases.
By confirming the booking, you correctly understand your acceptance of these terms and conditions and by paying a
deposit of 30% of the price of your package and gorilla permits fees binds us to these terms and conditions.
The balance fee of the trip should be paid in full not later than 30 days before departure. Bookings made within 30
days of departure must be paid in full at the time of confirmation. Payments made to our authorized agents for your
trip with Range Land Safaris will be held by the agent on our behalf until it is paid to us or refunded to you.
QUOTATIONS/BOOKINGS/PRICES
Endeavor to ensure that the quotation sent is with details of number of clients, dates of travel, accommodation,
transportation, permits, park fees and all other services to be provided is clear and accurate before confirming the
booking in writing. All references to quotations in writing shall include reference to correspondence by copy and
electronic mail. The price of your agreed package will be confirmed at the time of booking. Range Land Safaris
reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices and will do so as soon as we become
aware of any such error.
CANCELLATIONS BY US
Rarely we have to cancel confirmed bookings and endeavor to avoid canceling however, Range Land Safaris reserve
the right to do so. Range Land Safaris shall not cancel any confirmed trip less than 30 days to departure unless there is failure to meet the terms and no payment in process for the trip and we are forced to do so as a result of unusual
and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which we could not have avoided even
with all due care. In the circumstances that we cancel your trip, accept that you have failed to make payment or
necessary procedures and we shall offer you the choice of purchasing an alternative trip from us of a similar standard
to that originally booked if available. If the chosen alternative is less expensive than your original holiday we shall
refund the difference but if it is more expensive, we shall ask you to pay the difference. Alternatively you are entitled
to a full refund of all monies you have paid to us save that paid for gorilla permits which can only be refunded if the
refund has been made available to us. Except where we cancel for reasons other than those mentioned in this
clause, we shall have no further liability to you. We regret we cannot pay any expenses, costs or losses incurred as a
result of any cancellation. If we cancel for a reason that is not mentioned in this clause, we shall pay a maximum
compensation of $100 depending on the circumstances. We reserve the right, without prior notice, to terminate the
holiday of any person in your party if, in our opinion or in the opinion of any other person in authority, the persons
concerned behave in such a way to cause or be likely to cause danger, annoyance or distress to any third party or
damage to property. In this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the accommodation or other
service immediately. We shall have no further responsibility towards such person(s). No refunds will be made and we shall not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.
CANCELLATIONS BY YOU
Should you or a member of your travel party be forced to cancel, you must advise us or your travel agent in writing. A
cancellation is not effective until we receive a copy of your written notice. To cover our estimated loss caused by the
cancellation and as we may be unable to resell your trip package, cancellation fees, excluding insurance, will be
levied per person as follows: Period before departure = Cancellation charge (as percentage of total price paid where
applicable) More than 45 days before departure the Deposit is refunded, Between 44 days – 15 days a refund of 50%
of the paid up fees., Less than 14 days NO Refund. Note all refunds are made without the Gorilla permits fees which
is subjected to refund through approval of the Authority of the Uganda Wildlife. If a refund is made to a customer
arising from a cancellation, amendment or error by the customer, Range Land Safaris reserves the right to charge the
client any bank or credit card service provider charges incurred
COMPLAINTS
Complaints must be reported immediately to our representative and to the supplier of the service(s) in question, who
will do their best to resolve any problem. If you remain dissatisfied, a written report should be submitted to the Safari manager in Kampala as soon as possible after the incident and not later than 14 days after completion of your trip, to enable us to investigate fully. Regrettably, liability for any complaints not notified in accordance with this procedure cannot be accepted.
PASSPORTS, VISAS AND OTHER TRAVEL PAPERS
It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure that passports, visas, health certificates, proof of vaccinations and any
other required documentation are all in order for the countries to be visited during the tour.
Range Land Safaris shall not be held liable for any consequences, damages or claims if the client prior does not
correctly attend to the documentation and related matters as contemplated herein.
INSURANCE
It is a condition of booking that you must have, and must demonstrate to your travel agent or us at the time of booking
that you have, appropriate insurance for the type of trip being taken with us. Such insurance should fully cover death, personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation in the event of accident or illness or death, cancellation or curtailment of the holiday by either side and loss of, damage to, or theft of the clients’ personal property. Activities with a greater inherent risk, such as mountaineering, animal tracking on foot, white-water rafting should be covered. The Company shall not be liable for any consequences, damages or loss as a result of the client failing to have the necessary cover.
HEALTH
The client accepts that to participate in the tour requires a measure of physical fitness and health and it is the client’s
obligation to ensure that he or she is medically fit to take on the tour.
OBEDIENCE ON TOUR
The client must at all times comply with the laws, customs and foreign exchange regulations of all countries visited
during the tour.
In addition, the client acknowledges that any disruptive, dangerous or potentially dangerous behavior during the tour shall not be tolerated and that the Range Land Safaris, its employees, representatives, agents and/or contractors
being so authorized, reserve the right to exclude the client from the tour at any point therein in such circumstances.
The Company shall not be liable for any costs and/or expenses for the client resulting from exclusion as aforesaid,
and the client shall not be entitled to a refund or rebate of the tour price or any additional compensation in such
instances.
USE OF TRIP MATERIALS
The Company reserves the right to use any photographs and video taken during the tour for use in marketing or any
other advertising material, and the client hereby consents to such use.
The client further agrees that the Company shall retain copyright over any such photographs and videos taken during
the tour and/or used in its brochures and, to the extent necessary, the client hereby assigns copyright in such
photographs and/ or videos to the Company.
GORILLA PERMITS/INFORMATION
Only when payment has been received can permits for gorilla trekking in the relevant National Park be purchased.
Getting a gorilla permit is not a guarantee of seeing a gorilla. Local conditions sometimes mean that access to the
gorillas is made impossible at short notice. We are unable to accept liability for any circumstance that might lead to
gorilla viewing being cancelled, whether it is closure of the National Park or borders; absence of the gorillas; security
changes. Refunds are at the discretion of the relevant authority and we cannot accept liability for them. We shall use
our maximum endeavors to obtain a refund and if a refund is paid by the relevant authority, we shall pass it on to the
client.
GOVERNMENT POLICY
The principal company is incorporated in the Republic of Uganda and it operates under the laws of Uganda. Your
contract with us and matters arising out of it will be governed by the laws of Uganda
Unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to war, mechanical breakdowns, weather, riots and other
unforeseen reasons beyond the control of the Company may cause delays or alterations to the tour. The Company
shall not be held liable in any way for any of these possible occurrences or any consequences, which may arise as a
result of these.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
On booking, the client shall be issued with our tour dossier and pre-departure information documents. It is the responsibility of the client to read and understand these documents before travelling.
