Gorilla Habituation Experience  Bwindi Impenetrable National Park- Uganda. The majority of Gorillas that are common either in a zoo or sanctuary are the lowlands gorillas, the mountain gorillas are actually a subspecies known as Gorilla Beringei Beringei. These can only be found in the wilderness of the Virunga highlands of Rwanda within Volcano Park found in Rwanda, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park as well as Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda, and the Virunga National Park found in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Of the estimated 800 mountain gorillas remaining on earth, approximately 480 reside in Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park.

ABOUT GORILLAS

They are diurnal, most active between 6:00 am. and 6:00 pm, highly social. And live in relatively stable, cohesive groups and omnivores animals feeding on plant material, meat and insects. The experience is awesome and the feeling is great!!! Because no amount of internet picture or documentary would contend. With the one on one experience you will get watching the gorillas.

The fur of the mountain gorilla, often thicker and longer than that of other gorilla species. Enables them to live in colder temperatures. Gorillas  identified by nose prints unique to each individual. Males, at a mean weight of 195 kg (430 lb) and upright standing height of 150 cm (59 in). Usually weigh twice as much as the females. At a mean of 100 kg (220 lb) and a height of 130 cm (51 in) making them a sight to see.
