Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our Range Land Safari guide/driver who will brief you and transfer you to the hotel for your overnight stay and dinner. After relaxation, prepare for your 7 Days Uganda Primates Tour adventure that awaits you.

Day 2:Drive to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, set off to Western Uganda, to Fort Portal. This lively town is the base for activities around Kibale Forest National Park. The national park offers one of the most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda, 70 mammal species and 13 primate species. The drive takes 5 hours so we will arrive with time in Fort Portal for lunch. Thereafter, drive to the lodge with the best view of the forest, an evening crater walk is worthy to relieve you of the driving lag and a scenic walk experience.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walk
An early start and a long day ahead of you! You will track chimpanzees and will not only learn about them but also about the flora and fauna of the national park. The forest is placed as the primate capital of the world and offers up to 13 species of primates lots of bird species with some forest endemics like the blue breasted pita.
After lunch we will take on a walk to the Bigodi swamp. The Bigodi Swamp is a paradise for bird watchers. 138 species of bird have been recognized within the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary and among the major bird species within the sanctuary is the Blue Turaco. The swamp also harbors several primate species like the red colobus monkey, baboon, black & white colobus monkey, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey and the L’Hoest monkey.

Day 4: Drive to Ishasha for the tree Climbing lions
After a meal in the morning, drive to Ishasha sector with a stopover at the Kazinga channel for a boat cruise to see lots of wildlife along the shores before taking on a game viewing drive to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park known for the tree climbing lions. Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy an evening game drive in search of the tree climbing lions in the different figs marred inn the open savannah wilderness.

Day 5: Ishasha-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Drive out after breakfast back to the park in search for more wildlife importantly the lions in the fig trees, the Ishasha plains are also home to elephants, Ugandan kobs, topis, elands, buffaloes, wart hogs, and other savannah wildlife. The Ishasha River runs through this part of the park and it supports a healthy hippo population. Wildlife view with a picnic lunch. After lunch, continue the drive south into the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest region.
Bwindi Forest is a World Heritage Site and it is a magnificent swathe of forest that crosses the Albertine Rift Valley. This ancient rain forest – one of the few in Africa to have flourished throughout the last Ice Age – is one of the most biologically diverse in Africa. Bwindi has at least 90 mammal species, including 11 different primates.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi
The most exciting day of your safari, the briefing is at 8:00 am. and you will learn about gorilla etiquette. And then you will start walking and hiking in the impenetrable forest until you find the gorillas. For one hour you are allowed to watch those majestic giants. Depending on the duration of the track you can either relax in the afternoon at the lodge and just enjoy the view or go for another walk around and explore the village or walk up to the highest point with the best view ever of the forest. An option of the Gorilla habituation can be arranged.

Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe
After a warm breakfast, you drive back to Kampala through the rolling hills of the Kigezi on to Igongo Cultural centre to have lunch en-route and fly back home late evening.
